Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram held a high-level meeting in Mumbai on Monday night to review security in Maharashtra. State Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, Home Minister R.R. Patil, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Umesh Chandra Sarangi, Anti Terrorism Squad Chief Rakesh Maria, State Intelligence Chief K L Prasad, Mumbai Police Commissioner Arup Patnaik and other senior officials were present at the meeting.

Sources said, Mr. Chidambaram was apprised about the course of investigations into the July 13 serial bomb blasts in Mumbai and the steps taken regarding the modernisation of police force.
