Australia defeated England by 13 runs in the first Twenty-20 of the 3-match cricket series, at Hobart today. Opting to bat first, the Aussies posted a mammoth 213 for 4 in the stipulated 20 overs. It was the 64-ball 106-run opening wicket stand between Cameron White and Aaron Finch that laid the foundation of a big total. White made 75, while Finch scored 52.Chasing 214 for victory, England managed to make 200 in the alloted overs, with a loss of 9 wickets. Ravi Bopara top scored for the visitors with an unbeaten 65. Nathan Coulter-Nile bagged the maximum of 4 wickets for the Aussies. White was adjuged man of the match.The second T-20 will be played in Melbourne on Friday.
