Overseas investors have pulled out more than 9,500 crore rupees from the domestic stock markets between 1 and 22 January, amid global growth worries and a sharp fall in oil prices. According to data available with depositories, Foreign Portfolio Investors, FPIs infused a gross amount of 53,296 crore rupees into the domestic equity markets between this period, and pulled out 63,259 crore rupees during the same period, resulting in a net outflow of 9,963 crore rupees. But FPIs remain bullish about the debt market, and invested a net sum of 2,353 crore rupees during the period.
