In Assam, the overall flood situation improved today due to respite from rains. Around 27 thousand people left relief camps and returned home today . AIR correspondent reports that Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi along with Chief Secretary today made an aerial survey of the flood affected areas Lower Assam. <br/><br/>The correspondent says the situation in flood affected areas is limping back to normalcy in the districts of lower Assam. As the condition improved, people have started to return home. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has given stress to expedite rehabilitation process in the flood hit areas. He instructed the concerned authority to take necessary steps in this direction. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, water level in the Kaziranga National Park has receded. Park authority said that the situation is not alarming. But a strict vigil is being maintained by the forest guards.
