In Jammu and Kashmir, out of a sanctioned amount of Rs. 72.97 crore for implementation of 37 schemes in Poonch district under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), an expenditure of Rs. 26.23 crores has been incurred during last two years.<br/>Out of these schemes, the concerned department has completed a total length of 73 kms and connected 18 remote villages. The targeted habitations with a the respective population of 1000, 500 and 250 which are in stages III and VI covering a length of 158.50 kms to be connected under the scheme are 48.<br/>In the next phase, the department has prepared Detailed Project Reports of 40 roads covering a total length of 198.50 kms at the cost of Rs. 136.76 crores which will connect 57 habitations. This information was given by AEE, PMGSY, Poonch, Mr. Sanjay Raina at the main venue of Bharat Nirmaan Public Information Campaign, organized by Press Information Bureau, Government of India in coordination with district administration in Poonch. Many government departments, organizations and banks have set up their stalls at the sports stadium to apprise the local people about various schemes of the government for their benefit.<br/><br/>
