Over Rs 1crore 54 lakhs fake currencies seized during last year in WB

The West Bengal police have seized over 1crore 54 lakhs fake currencies during last one year. According to official sources police has arrested 193 persons in connections with spreading fake currencies in the state. <br/><br/>An official spokesman told in Kolkata that, the Government has taken special initiatives to alert people against fake currencies. <br/><br/>The spokesman said that, vigil have been intensified at wholesale and retail markets, important markets, money exchange centers and bordering areas. Besides, modern machines have been installed at commercial banks to examine currencies.
