Nearly ten lakh citizens have got awards worth over 153(point)5 crore rupees till 20th of this month under Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi Dhan Vyapar Yojana for embracing digital payments. <br/><br/>Among the 9.8 lakh winners, there are 9.2 lakh consumers and 56 thousand merchants. 120 consumers have won prize money worth one lakh rupees each and 4,000 merchants have won 50 thousand rupees each.<br/><br/>Briefing media in New Delhi, NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant said, the winners are from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. <br/><br/>Both the initiatives were launched to promote digital payments on 25th of December last year after the implementation of demonetization process. The schemes will remain open till 14th of April this year. <br/><br/>15 thousand winners daily qualify for prize money of 1.5 crore rupees. In addition, there are over 14 thousand weekly winners qualifying for the total prize money of over 8.3 crore rupees every week. <br/><br/>Customers and merchants using RuPay Card, Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM), Unified Payments Interface, USSD based *99# service and Aadhaar Enabled Payment Service are eligible for wining daily and weekly lucky draw prizes.
