Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has said that over one lakh 48 thousand crore rupees has been allocated for Railways in next fiscal which is three times higher than the previous allocation of 54 thousand crore rupees in 2013-14. <br/><br/>Briefing reporters in New Delhi, Mr Goyal said, government will develop 600 railway stations with world-class facilities and provide escalators at all stations with passenger footfall above 25 thousand.<br/><br/>He said, all trains and stations will be equipped with WiFi and CCTVs to enhance passenger security. Mr Goyal said, total expenditure planned on safety related activities is over 73 thousand crore rupees in next fiscal. <br/><br/>The Minister said, Railways have increased targets massively in capacity building to ease network congestion and ensure highest standards of safety, speed and service for customers.
