<span style="color: #222222;">The Centre has informed that over one crore 14 lakh migrant workers returned to their home states during the COVID induced lockdown in the country. In a written reply in Rajya Sabha, Union Labour Minister Santosh Gangwar said that the government had set up 20 Control Rooms all over the country to resolve the grievances of the migrant workers. He said, nearly two lakh workers were paid their wages amounting to about 295 crore rupees due to the intervention of the Labour Ministry.<br />''<br />''The Minister also informed that among several relief measures, a financial package of twenty seven lakh crore rupees under Atmanirbhar Bharat scheme was also launched by the Centre to create employment opportunities for migrant workers, workers of organized sector, strengthening of MSME sector and promoting rural economy.</span>
