over 9,000 booked for lockdown violation in state so far: Arunachal Pradesh DGP

<span style="color: #222222;">In Arunachal Pradesh, Director General of Police R P Upadhaya has said that over 9,000 people were booked for lockdown violation in the state till now. Out of these, 1,000 arrests were made and others were freed with warning or after counselling. He said that over 900 vehicles were seized and a fine of over 20 Lakh rupees have been collected from all these violators.<br />''<br />''Speaking to AIR, Mr. Upadhaya said that all possible steps have been taken to prevent COVID-19 virus to entre the state. He said vehicle disinfectant tunnels or facilities were made at 12 check gates along the Assam-Arunachal borders to sanitize all the vehicles carrying essential commodities into the state.He said, all possible precautions are also being taken to keep safe the police personnel deployed in the field. He further said, police staffs above the age of 50 years are not given frontline duties. The DGP also informed that the Women Wing is producing mask for all the staffs of the department.</span><br />
