Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said over 9 crore Mudra loans have been disbursed ever since the Prime Minister Mudra Yojana was launched.<br/><br/>Speaking after inaugurating the Mudra Promotion Camp in Hyderabad today, he said Mudra Yojana and programmes like JanDhan Yojana have become major instruments for upliftment of the poor. He also said these schemes are contributing to the economic transformation of the country into a major economy. <br/><br/>Mr Naqvi said there are about 76 percent women in these beneficiaries of Mudra Yojna and more than 55 per cent of the beneficiaries are from SC,ST,OBC and Minorities. He further said the country now has become one of the safest and strongest destination for investment. The minister said the country's growth rate has been above 7 percent during the last three years due to the measures taken by the NDA government. He also said Demonetisation has started giving results and the Direct Benefit Transfer has ensured transparency. <br/><br/>The day-long camp is featuring awareness on various categories of loans that can be availed under Pradhana Mantri Mudra yojana and Start-Up India scheme under which loans up to one crore rupees can be obtained. The NPCI is also creating awareness among the visitors on digital transactions. Awareness among merchants on boarding for various digital payments, coverage of merchants with Bharat QR coding and downloading BHIM app besides seeding Aadhar with bank accounts also are being done at the camp.<br/>About 35 banks and financial institutions have set up about 60 stalls and displayed their products and services. Besides providing 9 financial services on the spot, the Camp is also creating awareness about agriculture loans among the visitors.
