Over 800 people affected with infectious diseases in Uttarakhand

In Uttarakhand, about eight hundred people have been affected with infectious diseases as the flood water recedes from the affected areas of the state. Director Health Department Dr. A.P.Mamgain told our Dehradun correspondent that the patients are admitted in various hospitals of the state. Meanwhile, all major rivers including the Ganga, Yamuna, Kosi and several tributaries are receding. According to reports more than dozen people have succumbed to viral fever and other infectious diseases in Nainital, Udhamsing Nagar and Dehradun district during this monsoon. Thousands of people are suffering from Viral Fever, Dengue, Swine Flu, and Eye Flu.
