Breaking all previous records, over 80 lakh pilgirms visited the holy cave shrine of Vaishno Devi till 25th of December this year, nestled in Trikuta hills in Jammu and Kashmir. An Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Vaishno Devi Shrine Board said that a new milestone has been set. <br/>In 2007, as many as 74.17 lakh worshippers had offered prayers at the revered shrine. The dip in the pilgrim flow last year, which saw 67.5 lakh devotees visiting the shrine, was due to the two-month long Amarnath land row in the state.<br/>
