The paddy procurement is progressing smoothly in Kharif Marketing Season 2021-22 at Minimum Support Price from farmers, as was done in previous years.

Food Ministry said, a quantity of over 741 Lakh Metric Tonnes of Paddy has been procured in Kharif Marketing Season 2021-22 upto yesterday in the procuring States and UTs of Chandigarh, Gujarat, Assam, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Telangana, Rajasthan, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, West Bengal, Tripura, Bihar, Odisha, Maharashtra, Puducherry, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

The Ministry said, till now over 105 Lakh farmers have been benefitted with MSP value of over one lakh 45 thousand 358 crore rupees.
