World Bank says, more than 700 million people around the world are still living in extreme poverty. In a report released yesterday, based on data upto 2013, it said 767 million people are living on less than a dollar and ninety cents a day. <br/><br/>The figure is 13 percent down from the previous year, but still accounts for more than 10 percent of the world's population. Sub-Saharan Africa accounts for half the world's extreme poor. World Bank and the United Nations have set a goal of ending extreme poverty by 2030.
