Minister of State for Heavy Industries Krishna Pal Gurjar informed the Loka Sabha today.<br />''<br />''In a written reply to a question, the Minister said, there is no downtrend in the sale of EVs after a few fire incidents reported in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. He further said, the Ministry of Road and Highways has set up a committee with independent experts from the DRDO, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, and Naval Science and Technological Laboratory, Visakhapatnam to assert the reasons behind the fire incidents.<br />''<br />''The Minister further said, show cause notices have been issued to the CEOs and MDs of the concerned manufacturers of the EVs which met with fire incidents.</span><br />
