In Bihar, over 61per cent voters today exercised their franchise in the fourth phase of panchayat polls at 905 panchayats in 62 blocks of the state .AIR Patna correspondent reports that no major incident was reported from any parts of the state.State Election Commissioner J K Dutta saidd that Katihar district recorded the highest voter turnout at 71 percent, while Sitamarhi district witnessed the lowest turn out at 51 per cent.Over nine hundred persons including a zila parishad candidate in Madhubani had been arrested as a preventive measures during today's poll.Over one lakh rupees were seized from the possession of the arrested persons. The Panchayat elections will conclude on May 18 after six more phases. The fifth phase of elections will be held on the 3rd of the next month.
