In Pakistan, 60 police recruits were killed and about 118 injured in an attack on Police Training Centre in Quetta last night. <br/><br/>Home Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti said in Quetta that three suicide attackers stormed police training academy, of whom two blew themselves up while the third was shot dead by police. <br/><br/>He said the exact number of casualties could not be ascertained yet. Inspector General Frontier Corps Balochistan Major General Sher Afghan said the attackers belong to Lashkar-e-Jhangvi Al-Alami. <br/><br/>There were around 700 police cadets and recruits in the college hostel when the attack took place. No group has said they carried out the assault, but Quetta has seen similar attacks by separatists and Islamist militants in recent years.<br/><br/>The United States has condemned the attack. State Department spokesperson John Kirby said in Washington that US stands with the people of Pakistan and would continue to work with Pakistan to combat the threat of terrorism.
