Over 6.19 lakh hectare area covered under natural and organic farming in country, informs Centre in Lok Sabha

<span style="color: #222222;">The Agriculture Ministry today said more than 6.19 lakh hectare area has been covered under natural and organic farming in the country. Replying to a question in the Lok Sabha the Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmer's Welfare Kailash Choudhary said the Government is promoting zero-budget agriculture under the Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana. (PKVY).<br />'' <br />'' He said for the period of 2019-20, the government has allocated 29 crore rupees for eight states and more than 4 lakh hectare has been taken up under PKVY.<br />''<br />''The minister further added that more than 1.23 lakh hectare area has been taken for organic farming under Namami Gange Programme.</span>
