Over 540 Shramik Special trains operationalized till today to facilitate movement of migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists and students

<span style="color: #222222;">Indian Railways has transported about six and half lakh passengers by 542 Shramik Special trains so far. Trains are being run only after concurrence of both the concerned states including state sending the passengers and one which is receiving them.        <br />''<br />''During the process, passengers were throughly screened before boarding the train. They were given free meals and water and social distancing was ensured during the travel. Most of the trains have reached their destinations  in various states like Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. This follows  Ministry of Home Affairs' order regarding movement of stranded migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists, students and others at different places by special trains. </span><br />
