Polling for the third phase of Assembly elections in Bihar passed off peacefully this evening. Over 50 percent electorates exercised their right to vote. AIR correspondent Krishna Kumar Lal reports, voting percentage is likely to increase as reports from remote areas are still coming in.Polling was held in 48 constituencies today spread over six districts of East Champaran, West Champaran, Saran, Siwan, Gopalganj and Vaishali. Political fortune of 785 candidates including 65 women has been sealed in EVMs.State Chief Electoral Officer Sudhir Kumar Rakesh told AIR that 145 persons were taken into custody as a preventive measure.
