In Arunachal Pradesh, at least 50 people are feared killed in a suspension bridge collapse over the Kameng river on Saturday evening. The tragedy occurred at Seppa in East Kameng district.Superintendent of Police Kime Aya said in Itanagar, that the villagers, who had had set out to hunt, were crossing the bridge at around 5:30 pm when it gave way. The entire bridge collapsed with all those on it falling into the river. Two persons managed to swim to safety. The SP said swift current in the river is hindering rescue operations.
