Over 4.5 million direct cash transfers have been made to consumers' bank accounts under the Direct Benefit Transfer scheme for LPG (DBTL) till the 20th of this month. These transactions amounted to 187.65 crore rupees transferred to the LPG consumers in 20 districts.A Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry release says, the scheme has been a resounding success and government will roll it out in 35 more Aadhaar covered districts from the 1st of next month. With this, the total number of districts to be covered by DBTL will be 55.
