Railway Ministry has said, over 340 major railway stations have been provided with CCTV cameras for the security of passengers.<br/><br/>Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain said this in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today. He said, instructions were issued by Railway Board to all Zonal Railways for extending the use of CCTVs to monitor cleanliness in such stations. <br/><br/>The Minister also said that in order to further emphasise the use of CCTVs for monitoring cleanliness, detailed implementation guidelines have been issued to all Zonal Railways in May this year.
