Over 31,75,000 people administered COVID vaccine in Tamil Nadu

<span style="color: #222222;">The Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu, Rajeev Ranjan has said that more than 31 lakh,75 thousand people were administered COVID Vaccination till date. In a statement released in Chennai on Saturday he said, the government was taking all possible steps to reduce the impact of the pandemic in the state. He said that the government has received 54 lakh, 78 thousand 7 hundred doses from the centre.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The chief Secretary pointed out that 50 thousand to 85 thousand RT-PCR tests are being done every day and results were declared within 24 hours. Steps have been taken to identify and test 25 to 30 persons who were in contact with the COVID positive person. Informing about the preventive measures he said, any street or apartment which has more than 3 COVID positive people was considered as a micro containment area. Ranjan told that 846 areas have been declared as micro containment areas and health monitoring has been stepped up in nearby places.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">It is important to note that COVID positive cases are on the rise as candidates and campaigners are also affected. Star Campaigner of DMK Kanimozhi was found COVID positive and is admitted to a private hospital in Chennai.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile the number of COVID-19 positive cases have risen to more than 3 thousand in the state. More than 18 thousand COVID positive people are in isolation. More than 86 thousand samples were tested yesterday. Over One thousand seven hundred people were discharged after being treated. More than 3 thousand eight hundred UK returnees have been tested in the past three months. 13 of them tested positive for the virus and were given treatment.</span><br />''  <br />
