In Hong Kong, more than 30,000 people gathered today to show their support for seven police officers who were sentenced to two years in jail for beating up a pro-democracy activist in 2014. <br/><br/>The thousands of protesters demonstrated on the soccer field at the Police Sports and Recreation Club in Kowloon Tong. Many of those in attendance were current and former police officers along with their families. <br/><br/>The event was organised by a number of associations affiliated with the police force.<br/>
