Over 30 lakh government officials of the country will be trained in emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain for effective governance and service delivery at the grassroots level. Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions Dr. Jitendra Singh announced this while speaking at Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi yesterday.<br />''<br />''Highlighting the role of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in governance, Dr. Singh said, these technologies can play an effective role in the effective implementation of GST and Income Tax. He said, Blockchain technology can be effective in securing records and certificates. Dr. Singh said, civil servants, will use these technologies in day-to-day work and administration soon. He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has introduced innovation in governance and made it technology-driven. He said, Indian growth story has been driven largely by technology adoption in governance like Aadhar, Direct Benefit Transfer, and Unified Payment Interface. <br />
