Over 3.23 lakh new cases of COVID-19 reported in the country in last 24 hrs

<span style="color: #222222;">Amid the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic, the country today witnessed some respite from a record number of coronavirus cases. The Health Ministry said,  over three lakh 23 thousand fresh cases have been reported in the country within 24 hours which is around 30 thousand less than the cases reported yesterday.<br />'' <br />'' However, the active caseloads in the several States and Union Territories are still rising. As a result, the recovery rate is continuously declining in the country. The Ministry has informed, at present, there are over twenty eight lakh eighty two thousand active cases in the country which comprises 16.34 per cent of the total positive cases. The recovery rate has further declined to 82.53 per cent. The Ministry informed that more than two lakh fifty one thousand people have recovered from the corona virus infection in the last 24 hours. So far, more than one crore 45 lakh patients have been recovered from this infectious disease in the country.<br />'' <br />''The Health Ministry has said, over two thousand seven hundred deaths have been reported in the country within 24 hours, taking the toll to over one lakh 97 thousand across the country. Meanwhile, Indian Council of Medical Research has informed that over 16 lakh 58 thousand tests of corona virus samples were conducted within 24 hours. With this the total number of tests reached to 28 crore in the country.</span><br />
