Over 23 thousand beneficiaries have availed the benefits of treatment under Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-PMJAY) at All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi so far since the implementation of scheme in September 2018. Majority of them availed the treatment in the departments of medical oncology followed by ophthalmology, general medicine, orthopaedics and neurosurgery. Under it, major surgeries including 148 knee and 557 Hip replacement and 730 Congenital Heart Diseases were performed. Presently, under the scheme there are 1109 packages, 1949 procedures which are provided across 27 specialties. AIIMS has a centralized Ayushman Bharat Kendra for the smooth implementation of the scheme. Medical Superintendent of AIIMS,&nbsp; Dr Nirupam Madan said that more Ayushman Suvidha Kendras are being set up at different departments&nbsp; to facilitate easy access to healthcare by beneficiaries.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''In-Charge of AB-PMJAY at AIIMS, Prof V K Bansal said that the aim is to bring more and more eligible beneficiaries under the scheme so that they can avail healthcare facilities. He informed that the target is to cover 10 thousand beneficiaries under the scheme in a year.<br />
