Over 2000 Sikh pilgrims leave for Pakistan to celebrate Baisakhi at Panja Sahib

Batches of Sikh pilgrims departed for Pakistan today to celebrate Baisakhi at Gurudwara Panja Sahib in Hasan Abdal. Nearly 2200 pilgrims left by three special trains from international Atari railway station. Shiromini committee member S Raghbir singh who is heading the group sent by SGPC said that Jathas will reach Punja Sahib tomorrow and will visit Gurudwara Nankana sahib, Gurudwara Sacha Sauda at Farooqabad, Dera Sahib at Lahore and Gurudwara kartarpur sahib at Narowal. They will return to India on 21st April. He appealed to the Pakistan Government to libralize viza system so that more pilgrims could visit shrines over there.
