Over 16,000 employees of BEST receive vaccine for COVID-19 in Maharashtra

<span style="color: #222222;">Senior citizens could be seen gathering in large numbers at various Vaccination Centres in Mumbai today on the second day of vaccination against COVID-19. Meanwhile, nearly 50 per cent of bus drivers, conductors and other frontline employees of the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST), got vaccinated against Coronavirus in the past few days.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, Chief Medical Officer of the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking, Anil Kumar Singal informed that as on today, more than 16,000 employees of BEST have received the vaccine for COVID-19. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He added that in the last three days, no new case of COVID-19 has been reported in the BEST undertaking. The BEST has also written to the BMC to conduct awareness drives for its staffers on the various myths on the COVID vaccine. The BMC officials said, they will organise an awareness camp on 7th March for BEST staffers. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, NCP leader Praful Patel took his first dose of COVID-19 Vaccine at J. J. Hospital in Mumbai today. Taking to twitter he also appealed to all those who are eligible to get vaccinated. Crowd of senior citizens could be seen gathering at various vaccination centres in Mumbai on the second day of vaccination today. On the other hand, in Latur taluka, 745 students have been examined in the last two days for COVID-19. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Of these, 742 students have reported negative while the reports of  three students were found to be positive. MLA Dhiraj Deshmukh had directed to conduct tests of students in Latur rural constituency to curb the rising COVID-19 cases in schools. </span>
