In Jammu and Kashmir, over 16.79 lakh persons across 20 districts of the Union Territory have been issued Domicile Certificates till 14th of September.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''AIR correspondent reports that so far 21,13,879 applicants have applied for the issuance of Domicile Certificate of which 16,79,520 were issued the certificates including over 4.16 lakhs in Kashmir and 12.44 lakhs in Jammu division.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Of the total certificates issued, over 14.32 lakh were issued to Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) holders including 1.01 lakh to state subjects and 45,794 to non-state subjects, 34,045 to students including 24,455 state subjects and 9,590 non-state subjects and 18,612 to Kashmiri Migrants/ children.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The certificates issued to PRC holders include over 10.75 lakh in Jammu and 3.57 lakh in Kashmir division.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Of the total 21,13,879 applications received till 14th of September, across the UT, over 2.70 lakh are pending, including 1.44 lakh in Jammu and one lakh in Kashmir Division.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Moreover, 19,571 West Pakistani Refugees, 2,424 Balmiki community members and 765 Gorkha community members were also issued domicile certificates. The process of issuing domicile certificates was started in the last week of June this year.<br />
