National Mission for Delivery of Justice<br/>Around 1500 under-trials from different states have been released from the custody as part of the National Mission for Delivery of Justice and Legal Reforms initiated by the government recently. <br/>According to an official release, maximum 466 under-trials have been released from Maharashtra and Goa, followed by 443 from Jharkhand and 287 from West Bengal as per the figures made available by the High Courts.<br/><br/>The initiative was launched under the National Mission, a Mission Mode Programme to reduce the number of cases of under-trials and to ease congestion in jails on 26th of last month.<br/>
