In the holy cave shrine of Vaishnodevi in Trikuta Hills in Jammu and Kashmir, a 13.65 crore rupee water supply scheme has been launched for meeting the requirement of increasing pilgrim flow to the temple.
Governor N N Vohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah jointly unveiled the scheme at Nav Devian in Katra, the base camp for the pilgrimage.
With the commissioning of the scheme, the water supply had been augmented by six lakh gallons per day, of which four lakh gallons per day would be supplied to Bhavan and two lakh gallons to Adhkwari.
