<span style="color: #222222;">Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi today announced the extension of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana- PMGKAY till the end of November this year.<br />''<br />''The Ministry said, the Prime Minister in his address to the nation also underlined that the country is moving towards the institution of 'one nation, one ration card', which will be of immense benefit to the poor who travel to other states in search of work.<br />''<br />''The Ministry said, under the PMGKAY, for the April to June period, a total of over  116  Lakh Metric Tonne food grains have been lifted by various States and Union Territories.<br />''<br />''It said, this month, 29.64 Lakh Metric Tonne  food grains have been distributed to 59.29 crores beneficiaries.<br />''<br />''The Central Government  is bearing 100 per cent financial burden of approximately 46 thousand crore rupees under this scheme, it added.<br />''<br />''With regard to  Pulses, the Ministry said, the total requirement for the three months  from April to June was estimated at 5.87 Lakh Metric Tonne and the Government is bearing 100 per cent financial burden of about  five thousand crore under this scheme.<br />''<br />''So far 5.79 Lakh Metric Tonne  Pulses have been dispatched to States.<br />''<br />''With regard to food grains distribution to migrant labourers under Atma Nirbhar Bharat Package, the states and UTs have lifted 6.39 Lakh Metric Tonne food grains.<br />''<br />''States  have distributed  over one lakh Metric Tonne  of food grains to one crore 21 lakh beneficiaries in last month and 91.29 lakh beneficiaries in this month.<br />''<br />''The Ministry also said that as on 1st of June, the One Nation One Card scheme is enabled in 20 States and UTs.<br />''<br />''By 31st March next year, all remaining States will be added to One Nation One Ration Card scheme and the scheme will be operational all over the country.</span><br />
