In Haryana, an outstanding wrestler of International fame Mr Ramesh Kumar Gulia has been appointed DSP in state police. He has brought laurels for the country by winning bronze medal in the World Wrestling Championship recently held at Denmark. <br/><br/>Haryana Cabinet, which met at chandigarh today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda, gave its approval to the appointment of Mr Gulia for the post of DSP under sports quota in Haryana Police by giving relaxation in Rule 18 of the Haryana Police Service Rules, 2002.<br/><br/>In state police six per cent of total posts of DSP are reserved for outstanding sports persons who win a gold, silver or bronze medals in Olympic Games or those sports persons who bring extra ordinary laurel to the State.<br/><br/>Cabinet also gave its approval to the appointment of Mr Veerbhan, Constable as Sub Inspector in Haryana Police under outstanding sportsperson quota. Mr Veerbhan has won a number of medals in the various international / national and State level Games / Championships in Yoga and brought extraordinary laurels to the State and Haryana Police.
