The outbreak of Bird Flu has been confirmed in Maharashtra along with few other states in the country. However, the Avian Influenza has not affected the poultry farm in the state. AIR correspondent reports that fear of infection is less due in the poultry farm as the chicken are immunized and they are fed properly. Keeping this in mind, people are appealed not to believe in rumour mongering and access reliable source for information. AIR correspondent reports that despite cases of Bird Flu being reported from Parbhani and Beed districts of Maharashtra, the poultry industry has not been much affected in the state. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, State Animal Husbandry Minister Sunil Kedar and Health Minister Rajesh Tope have been monitoring the developing scenario. The State Government has directed the administration to be on the Bird flu outbreak.<br />''<br />''However, the poultry business at other places in the state is likely to suffer a setback due to rumour mongering. Reports of drop in the prices of eggs are being received with the demand falling steadily.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Chief Minister Thackeray has already appealed people not to believe in rumours and has said that if chicken or egg is cooked at 70 degrees Celsius or more, then the fear of infection does not remain.
