<span style="color: #222222;">The Minister of State for Jal Shakti, Prahlad Singh Patel has told the Rajya Sabha, 44.5 percent of the households in the country have been provided with piped water connection. In a written reply, he said 8.55 crore of the total 19.22 crore households have got piped water supply so far. He said, under the Jal Jeevan Mission, it is targeted to provide tap water connections to all the households by 2024. He further said, Telengana, Haryana, Goa, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli have already provided piped water connections to all the houses.</span>
