The Orissa government has said that it is making all possible efforts for the release of abducted Biju Janata Dal MLA, Jhina Hikaka. Expressing its concern over the release of the tribal MLA, Orissa Home Secretary U.N. Behera said at Bhubaneswar that the government is ready to accept someone of repute as mediator. He said, government has already decided to release 25 prisoners on bail. He also said that necessary steps are being taken for withdrawal of prosecution against 13 of this prisoners by following due process of law. The state government has once again appealed the Maoists to free the MLA .
