The state of Orissa, hereafter will be known as Odisha. The Lok Sabha today passed the Constitution Amendment Bill , to alter the name of the state of Orissa to Odisha. Moving the Bill, Home Minister P Chidambaram said the centre is honouring the wishes of the people of Odisha. After a brief discussion, the bill was passed.
