Home Secretary A P Padhi says, Orissa will need 3 more battalions of CRPF to combat Naxal menace in 17 of its 30 districts hit by left wing extremism. He said five additional battalions of Border Security Force have arrived in the state for joint anti-Maoist operation. They will be deployed in worst-hit Koraput and Malkangiri districts.<br/><br/>The state now has nine battalions of central Para-military force — five of BSF and four of CRPF.<br/><br/>Besides, the state's elite anti-Naxalite force — special operation group will also undertake anti-naxalite operations in all the affected districts.<br/>
