In Thailand, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva says order has been restored to the capital, Bangkok and throughout the country. Mr Abhisit said the government would move swiftly to restore normalcy following a week of violence which left more than 50 people dead. In a televised address today he defended a crackdown on protest rallies that unleashed a rampage of arson and looting and said reconciliation efforts would continue to address political divisions. He said that schools, streets and government agencies would reopen Monday after being shuttered to keep civilians out of central Bangkok during clashes between security forces and Red Shirts protestors. However, he said that the curfew imposed in Bangkok and 23 other provinces would be continued on Sunday. <br/>
