Opposition walks out during budget speech over hike in exise duty of fuel

The entire opposition today walked out of the Lok Sabha in protest against some of the budget proposals. Talking to media outside Parliament they described the budget as anti-people and anti-force which has no provision to address the growing food inflation. The leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha Mrs. Sushma Swaraj said that raising the tax on petrol and diesel prices will make price situation more difficult. Mr. Gurdas Dasgupta of CPI threatened to launch a countrywide agitation against the proposal which he described as anti worker. The RJD Chief Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadav said, they will not take rest under the tax on petroleum products is withdrawn. Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav said that government is in different to the grave issue of price rise.
