The Congress led opposition in Kerala walked out of the state Assembly today levelling serious allegations against the government that it is tampering with the functions of State Election Commission. Opposition leader Ommen Chandy blamed the ruling LDF for delay in finalisation of voters list for election to the local self governing institutions in September this year. This led to noisy scenes in the house. The clarifications by Finance Minister Dr Thomas Issac on behalf of the Local Self Government Minister did not satisfy the opposition and they walked out in protest. <br/>
