Opposition stalled the proceedings in both the Houses of Parliament today over Wikileaks expose of alleged cash for votes scam in 2008. The Lok Sabha was first adjourned till 12.15 after the papers were laid on the table. The Leader of the Opposition Mrs. Sushma Swaraj demanded that Prime Minister should come to the House and clarify about the expose. The Opposition members trooped to the well of the House demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister. The Speaker Mrs. Meira Kumar adjourned the House amidst the din. When the House reassembled, Parliamentary Affairs Minister P.K. Bansal said, the Prime Minister will make a statement in the Lok Sabha at 2.00 PM. But the Opposition continued slogan shouting and the Speaker, Mrs. Meirka Kumar adjourned House amidst din till 2pm.In the Rajya Sabha, as the Leader of the Opposition Mr. Arun Jaitley wanted to raise the issue, the Treasury benches started shouting. Nothing could be heard in the commotion. The Deputy Chairman K. Rahman Khan adjourned the House till 11.21. As soon as the House met at 11.21 A.M, there were heated exchanges between the Opposition and Treasury Benches over the Wikileaks expose. Amidst the uproar, the Deputy Chairman, Mr. K. Rahman Khan adjourned the House till 2.30PM.
