In Karnataka Legislative Assembly, the Opposition staged a dharna in the well of the House over remarks against the Governor by the ruling BJP members. The JD(S) floor leader H D Revanna moved an adjournment motion against the delay on the appointment of Lokayukta in the state. Before the Speaker could give his ruling on admission of the adjournment motion, members from the Treasury benches made comments against the Governor, which enraged the Opposition. Heated arguments ensued between both the sides, with one blaming the Governor for delay in the appointment of Lokayukta and another blaming the Government for the inordinate delay. When the dharna continued, the House was adjourned by the Speaker till afternoon. When the House met again, the impasse continued, and the Speaker adjourned the House till tomorrow.
