In Kerala, the CPI(M) led opposition created uproarious scenes in the State Assembly today raising allegations that Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Forest Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar have violated constitutional provisions. Opposition leader V.S.Achuthanandan alleged that the Chief Minister allowed former Minister R. Balakrishna Pillai who is presently in jail, to influence government decisions through phone calls. The opposition trooped into the well of the House, when the speaker denied permission for an adjournment motion on the issue. Despite pandemonium for half an hour, the Speaker rushed through the proceedings and adjourned the House till the 10th of this month.Later, outside the assembly, the Opposition demanded a judicial probe into media reports that Balakrishna Pillai was in constant touch with the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleague K.B.Ganesh Kumar, from prison.
