Opposition parties led by Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today approached President Pranab Mukherjee on the passage of Taxation Laws Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha without discussion. <br/><br/>They submitted a memorandum to Mr. Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhawan alleging that the rules and procedures were not followed and it was passed in a hurry. <br/><br/>Talking to reporters, Mr. Gandhi alleged that the government passed the bill in an arbitrary manner and the voice of the opposition is being stifled. <br/><br/>Sixteen party delegation included the leaders of Congress, Left, TMC, SP and RJD . Yesterday, the bill was passed amidst din without any discussion.
