Opposition parties in Orissa demands Patnaik resignation

Opposition parties in Orissa today demanded resignation of Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, in view of the judgement of Orissa High Court on the Vedanta University project. Leader of Opposition, Bhupinder Singh, told media persons at Bhubaneswar that the judgement of Orissa High Court has once again proved the unholy nexus between Vedanta company chief Anil Agarwal and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. He alleged that even 1346 acres of land belonging to Lord Jagannath of Puri was not spared and given to Vedanta University at a throw away price for its project sprawling over 6300 acres. The Orissa unit BJP president, Mr Jual Oram, has said the judgement is a victory of the people. After the latest indictment, Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, has no moral right to remain in power, he said.
