<span style="color: #222222;">The opposition parties today held a meeting at Parliament House to decide the name of the candidate for the election of the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The meeting was attended by NCP chief Sharad Pawar, CPI leader D Raja, Misa Bharti of RJD and others. The leaders will again meet in the evening and the name of the opposition candidate is expected to be announced at that time. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Sources said the opposition parties are also in touch with BJD and TRS for their support. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The election for the post will be held on Thursday and the members can give notices of motions regarding the name of the candidates up to noon tomorrow. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">From the ruling NDA side, JD(U) MP Harivansh will be the candidate for the post. The post of Deputy Chairman has been lying vacant since the retirement of Prof. P J Kurien last month.</span><br />
